It would appear that after the first breaking story about the Justice Department investigation of Adelson's Casinos, that the networks and all media except the Huffington Post are unwilling to follow the Romney/Adelson alliance closely. While some "understandings" are reached in politics, the Romney/Adelson is a direct investment of $100 million in anti-Obama media in exchange for at least a $2 billion tax break to be provided if Romney wins. Is the media afraid of taking on a big client?
It's shameful, that a sincere, honorable, charitable Romney got mixed up in an all or nothing campaign that is failing AND now changing. It's one thing to attempt to persuade voters any way you can about your vision, optimism and hopes for equality for all Americans in a presidential race, however a large part of the Romney campaign has been lies and politicaly motivated foreign policy gaffes, not to mention the 47% remark intended to rev up his billionaire supporters, who have no interest in most Americans-their interest is profit and riches at all cost. Perhaps the second worst part of Romney is a huge family trust that dodges taxes and the statement that most Americans won't see much of a tax break.
To avoid this criminal alliance in the future, many Americans would like to see a minimal tax-payer funded election process, with no exceptions. We have a very sophisticated, broad-based media in America and we don't benefit from Super PAC negative campaigns. Neither do we benefit from a presidential race costing $2 billion-enough to hire over 100,000 people. The saving grace in the political process is the presidential debates, where the truth becomes evident about the candidates, their actual ability to answer relevant questions and show their ability to debate intelligently.
