Some cactus flowers bloom at night and some in the daytime. Such is life we don't want to reach the full moon too soon or we'll pay they price. Some of us are night owls and some flourish in the daytime. I believe there is a spiritual seed planted in our psyche that needs plenty of nurturing and like the night blooming cactus flower does not stay in full bloom constantly. We complete our path on earth before reaching the non-physical and more infinite plane. Consider a parallel consciousness of the physical and the spiritual that is intertwined but can't directly communicate. Many have clained to be one with spirit on earth however it's more likely that it occurs after we pass on (karma for some, meaningless suffering, Christian rhetoric, ethics or submission to God, to name a few beliefs).
There are people who are spitually open but only to a limited degree, they can't access very much. We are here on earth to experience learning, growth, love, grief adventure and pleasure so that in the spirit world we will have infinite insights and travels to share rather than being a blank pallette. Why are people inspired in life? How are some renaissance-oriented and others warmongers? Questions that will never be answered and conflict that will never be resolved. Does karma or meaningless suffering explain our dilemma on earth. I believe we are living in heaven and earth at this moment and that the spirit world is an open gateway for all in youthful, healthy fullness.
From Conversations with Yogananda:
You can be in a room twenty years, trying to get out through the walls, the ceiling, the floor. It is when you finally discover the door that you find your way out. That's how it is with the soul. The average devotee may struggle his whole life trying to escape the bodily limitations by unscientific means and by the paths only of devotion or discrimination. By kriya yoga, however, if he is sincere, he can escape quickly. Kriya yoga takes one to God by the universal highway: the spine
Sincerely
