Is A One Party System Democratic? Yes it is.

Many people mention a one party election system now and then.  Our Congress has become overwhelmed with paperwork they don't read, allowing for people to cheat and enter unrelated laws to a specific bill.  If Congress constantly votes in a partisan, gridlock way, how will anything ever change?  A one party system allowing for one democratically elected president to win control of both houses would give the president actual power to create change in less than 8 years.

The amount of money spent on elections in a two party system has become obscene.  In a one party race, nothing would change, except the inevitable slander and animosity and gross advertising.  Elections would be paid for by the taxpayers ONLY, with no exceptions..  The party could be called the American Party.  Most of us are guilty of blaming Congress for everything, when we do very little to participate PERSONALLY in change.  The only way to avoid going backwards for years and years and years is to consider this option for the future.  The Senate would have the power to overrule the President in most cases, as checks and balances are a necessary part of our government.

The priorities of the nation, if presented correctly would be a slam dunk, rather than years of bickering and partisanship over a primary conflict of an adversarial two party system that has been getting worse and worse and worse.

It is foolish that our President has to admit a grade of incomplete after 3.75 years because of gridlock and power tripping.  Everyone has an idea about change and they don't get it, and won't get it in our current system.
